About the College:
Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital was inagurated on 2015. The College is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University, Chennai.
ABOUT THIS COURSE :
Today, the Western world realised the immense benefit that, traditional systems of medicine like Ayurveda can provide good health to the ailing community. This Ayurveda is fastly being recognized as an effective medical system all over the world leading to an increase in the demand for Ayurvedic Physicians, Teachers and Doctors in Various Hospitals, Colleges and other institutions in India and abroad.
At present the College is offering BAMS ( Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery ) Course which is of 5 1/2 years duration. Prescribed by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, which comes under the Department of AYUSH, a Department under the Central Health Ministry. The Course comprises of 4 1/2 years of class room study and 1 year of Intership. After satisfactory completion of the CRRI. ( Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery ) BAMS degree will be awarded by the T.N.Dr.MGR Medical University.
Course Duration:
4 and 1/2 Year + 1 Year Internship.
Elibibility for BAMS
Candidates at +2 level with an aggregate marks of 50 % in Physiscs, Chemisty, Biology or Botany and Zoology.
NO NEED OF NEET RESULT for Admission 2018.
